Liverpool announced on Thursday night that Sadio Mane has signed a new long-term contract at the club.
Unsurprisingly, fans were thrilled with the news, but their neighbours across Stanley Park tried to ruin the happy mood.
It is almost impossible for Everton supporters to feel any level of joy for their Merseyside rivals, particularly when it comes to the players.
So, when it was revealed that Mane had committed his future to Liverpool, some Toffees either poked fun at the reaction, or suggested that the attacker will still leave for another club in the future.
After all, contracts are not exactly air tight, and clubs like Barcelona and Real Madrid, who have plenty of money in the kitty, are able to buy out deals with relative ease.
It seems, though, that Mane is committed to the cause at Anfield, but some Everton fans could not help but try to ruin their rivals’ happiness.
