It’s not been the greatest month for Arsenal fans, has it?
The summer started so well with the capture of Alexandre Lacazette and Sead Kolasinac but since then the Gunners have lost to Stoke City, been thrashed by Liverpool and seen their bitter rivals Tottenham show a lot more ambition than them.
Tottenham announced the £23million capture of Serge Aurier on Thursday afternoon to continue their late flurry of activity before the 11pm summer transfer window deadline.
Aurier is a self-confessed Arsenal fan, so the fact he’s ended up at Spurs is a little baffling, but the main thing that has effected the Arsenal faithful is the fact he would have been a solid addition to Arsene Wenger’s squad; and £23m really is nothing in today’s market, isn’t it?
